Eligibility Criteria
Singaporeans, Permanent Residents or foreigners with a valid work permit or employment pass can apply to be certified under the Skills Evaluation Test.
Applicant for SET Level 1 must:
- Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience; and
- Have passed a screening test for SET Level 1, where applicable, as stipulated by ITE.
Applicant for SET Level 2 must:
- Be a holder of relevant SET Level 1 or passed NTC-3 Practical Test and have subsequent 3 years of relevant working experience; or
- Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience and have passed the relevant SET Level 1 or NTC-3 Practical Test, as stipulated by ITE.
Scope of Testing
For SET Level 1, there will be a practical test (incorporating theory where required, depending on trade areas) and the duration is up to 8 hours.
For SET Level 2, there will be practical and theory tests, which must be taken in one sitting. The assessment is based on the aggregate score of the practical and theory marks, and the duration is up to 8 hours for practical test and up to 3 hours for theory test. Trades of Testing |
